One EV charger is straightforward; two on the same 200-amp panel is not, unless you do load management. We install dual Level 2 chargers with shared-circuit controllers (Wallbox Quasar, Tesla Wall Connector, Enphase IQ EV) so two cars charge from one feeder without overloading the service.
Load management vs. panel upgrade
Load management splits available amperage between two chargers dynamically — both cars charge slower when both are plugged in, full speed when only one is. Often saves a full panel upgrade.
Wall Connector chains and Power Sharing
Tesla Wall Connectors support Power Sharing across up to 6 units on one circuit. We configure the setup and document it for the inspector.
When you do need more service
If you also have a hot tub, large HVAC, and a pool heater, load management on the chargers will not be enough — we run the calc and tell you.
