ADU & Accessory Dwelling Electrical
ADU electrical is its own scope — it usually involves a subpanel fed from the main house (or its own meter), independent grounding, and code requirements that differ from a detached shop. We do the design, the trench, the conductors, and the inspections.
Subpanel vs. separate meter
Most Utah ADUs run off a subpanel fed from the main house service — simpler and cheaper than a separate utility account. Separate metering is required in some setups; we know which is which.
Underground vs. overhead feed
For detached ADUs across the yard, underground PVC is the cleaner finished install. Overhead is faster and cheaper but visible. We will recommend based on your lot.
Smart-home and data
We pre-wire ADUs for WiFi, cameras, and data drops at the same time. Doing it during the electrical trench costs almost nothing extra.
